1. Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion, and He is over all things competent -
Tabaraka allathee biyadihi almulku wahuwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadeer
2. [He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving -
Allathee khalaqa almawta walhayata liyabluwakum ayyukum ahsanu 'amalan wahuwa al'azeezu alghafoor
3. [And] who created seven heavens in layers. You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency. So return [your] vision [to the sky]; do you see any breaks?
Allathee khalaqa sab'a samawatin tibaqan ma tara fee khalqi arrahmani min tafawutin farji'i albasara hal tara min futoor
4. Then return [your] vision twice again. [Your] vision will return to you humbled while it is fatigued.
Thumma irji'i albasara karratayni yanqalib ilayka albasaru khasi'an wahuwa haseer
5. And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars and have made [from] them what is thrown at the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze.
Walaqad zayyanna assamaa addunya bimasabeeha waja'alnaha rujooman lishshayateeni wa-a'tadna lahum 'athaba assa'eer

Virtues & Background of Surah Al-Mulk

Surah Al-Mulk is the 67th chapter of the Quran, consisting of 30 verses. Its primary theme is the greatness of Allah and His creation, demonstrating the power of the Creator through the wonders of the universe.

Protection in the Grave

This surah is famous for its ultimate reward: acting as a savior and intercessor for the one who recites it consistently. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

"Indeed there is a Surah in the Quran of thirty Ayat, which intercedes for a man until he is forgiven. It is [Surah] Tabarak Alladhi Biyadihil-Mulk."
— Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2891

He ﷺ also stated that it is a protection from the punishment of the grave, and it was his practice to never sleep until he had recited both Surah As-Sajdah and Surah Al-Mulk.
