Selected Verses with Translation

Verse 32 — Allah Distributes Provisions
Do they distribute the mercy of your Lord? It is We who have apportioned among them their livelihood in the life of this world and have raised some of them above others in degrees. (43:32)
Verse 67 — Friends on That Day
Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other — except for the righteous. (43:67)

Key Themes & Lessons

1. Worldly Wealth is a Test, Not a Blessing

The Surah emphasizes that wealth and luxury are not indicators of divine favor. If not for the risk of all humanity becoming disbelievers, Allah would have given the disbelievers houses with roofs of silver and gold (43:33-35) — implying that worldly provisions are so trivial in Allah's sight that He would lavish them freely if they didn't cause spiritual harm.

2. The Story of Prophet Isa (Jesus)

Surah Zukhruf addresses the status of Prophet Isa (AS), clarifying that he was a servant of Allah and a prophet — not divine. This is a crucial verse for interfaith understanding and establishes the Quranic position on the nature of Jesus.

3. True Friendship Survives Judgment Day

Verse 67 is one of the most quoted in Islamic literature: "Close friends, on that Day, will be enemies to each other — except the righteous." This teaches that only friendships built on faith and righteousness will endure, while all other relationships based on worldly benefit will collapse.
